CYPRUS HOLIDAY VILLAGES was established in 1987 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days for use as holiday lodgings. With loving care, several abandoned and ruined family homes were thoroughly renovated to provide the comfort of villa apartments without sacrificing their original, rustic character.

CYPRUS HOLIDAY VILLAGES offers you a choice of studios, 1 and 2-bedroom holiday apartments with self-catering facilities in a well-equipped kitchenette, and central heating/air-conditioning upon request. Notice the thick walls, small windows, stone or wooden staircases so typical of our island’s architecture of yesteryear. On your veranda, patio or garden you can relax with a drink or a book any time of the day. In every holiday village a swimming pool with sun beds is always within reach and reserved for our guests. Upon request, breakfast can be included in the terms of accommodation. In Tochni itself, our half board guests will enjoy the authentic traditional Cypriot dishes of our Tochni Taverna.

Several villages in this centrally located area close to the sea are ideal for those who are planning a holiday that combines relaxation on the beach with day tours to explore the whole island. Tochni guests also have the benefit of our various activity programs. You will be very well looked after by our CYPRUS VILLAGES Team and our cook of the Tochni Taverna.

Villa Holiday Apartments in the Tochni Region
Our holiday villas provide upgraded accommodation, without relinquishing rural tranquility and hospitality. The strikingly attractive complexes comprise four to five meticulously restored traditional villa apartments, furnished with comfort in mind, and decorated with charming Cypriot antiques and artefacts. The apartments provide central heating and air-conditioning (included in the price), as well as modern kitchen appliances. All have either a balcony or a patio where you can relax in the sun, when you’re not lying on a sun bed around the swimming pool nearby. The pool, which is reserved for our guests exclusively, is situated in the complex of the villas.

Rural Food Products

Halloumi cheese
Our guests have the opportunity to visit goat
farms and watch the villagers prepare the
island’s traditional ‘halloumi’ cheese, which is
made from goat’s milk. The traditional Cypriot
breakfast is known to include fresh halloumi,
olives, tomatoes, cucumber and homemade bread.

Olive oil
The olive harvest lasts from November to March. During this season, you can join in the olive picking and observe the difference between an old traditional mill and a modern olive press.

Oranges / citrus fruits
From November till June you can treat yourself to fresh oranges straight from the trees in our orange grove.
